Bow 2 motor from Goodwinch

The Bow motor 2 6.8HP winch motor is available 12V and 24 V can be universally fitted to most electric winches as long as the winch mounting can accommodate the motors additional length. Designed to provide high power and torque levels with incredible reliability at a respectable price tag.

The Bow motor 2 winch motor also features a low amperage draw when compared to other commonly used motors such as the Warn winch motor XP 6HP unit.

These motors offer greater high speed and mid range torque and have a faster off line retrieval speeds than the Bow motor 1 and are similar to the Warn XP.  The Bow motor 2 is a very resilient motor and is favoured for “over-volting” (when 24v is passed through 12v motors) by many top international race teams. This winch motor does not like to be stalled and will be damaged if this happens. The motor has an ‘O’ ring seal on the end cap to waterproof it and we recommend sealing the F1, F2 and A terminals with silicon sealant upon fitment.

These electric winch motors feature heavy duty copper armature windings, which are copper welded to the commutator, with highly efficient roller bearings at each end. Four enormous long lasting brushes enable the motor to run cooler. If fitting to the older Warn 8274 with a keyway type armature shaft, then you will also need to replace the pinion gear with the later type splined pinion gear.

The Bow motor 2 produces 6.8HP at 5000RPM.
